Immensely benefiting from BLCU’s unique language environment, the Business School lays a special emphasis on the bilingual (Chinese and English) delivery of its core courses, thus giving a more competitive edge to its students, and on making its programs and courses accessible to international students as well.
The School of Business consists of the Department of Finance, the Department of Accounting, the Department of International Economics and Trade, and the Department of Management. At the same time, the school is also home to several centers, institutes and laboratories, including the Regional Economic Research Center, the Financial Research Institute, the MPAcc Center, and the International Business Training Center. The school is also equipped with a multi-media finance lab connected with Reuter Terminal and Shihua Financial Information, a multi-media accounting lab and an international trade lab, the last two being driven by Yonyou ERP.
The school enrolls undergraduates in Finance, Accounting (specializing in International Accounting), International Economy and Trade, and Management of Human Resources. Master’s degree programs are also offered in International Politics (with emphasis on International Economy), Applied Computer Science (with emphasis on Financial Statistics and Data Analysis, and on Accounting Information System). Lastly, the Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) degree program completes the roundup. Thanks to its persistence, the school is now recognized for its bilingual and multi-disciplinary teaching and research.
