On the afternoon of June 11, Zhang Baojun, Vice President of Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), met with a delegation from Chung-Ang University (CAU) at BLCU. The two sides held in-depth discussions on establishing inter-institutional cooperative relations.

Vice President Zhang Baojun extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation. He noted that since its founding, BLCU has consistently adhered to its core mission of international Chinese language education and the dissemination of Chinese culture, and has cultivated deep engagement in Sino-Korean educational cooperation, wielding extensive influence in the higher education sector of the Republic of Korea. He emphasized that BLCU attaches great importance to substantive collaboration with high-quality Korean universities, and expressed willingness to leverage this meeting as an opportunity to expand diversified cooperation pathways, build broader international platforms for growth, and jointly elevate the level of educational exchanges between the two institutions.

Vice Chairman Woo Soo-han of Chung-Ang University thanked Vice President Zhang for receiving the delegation and spoke highly of BLCU’s profound strengths in language and cultural education as well as its international prestige. He remarked that Chung-Ang University, with a long history and a wide range of disciplines, has established partnerships with over 700 universities worldwide. He noted that the purpose of this dedicated visit was to initiate official cooperative channels and advance in-depth, pragmatic collaboration.

The two parties reached a consensus on cooperation, planning to sign a institutional memorandum of understanding and steadily implement various cooperative initiatives. The meeting was productive and efficient, laying a solid foundation for the establishment of a partnership between Beijing Language and Culture University and Chung-Ang University. Both sides pledged to uphold the principles of openness and mutual benefit, deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges as well as educational cooperation, and jointly propel their inter-institutional partnership to a new level.
