It has also organized numerous academic lectures, expert forums, and international conferences, earning recognition and influence both domestically and internationally.

The Center for Latin American Studies integrates regional and country-specific research, talent cultivation, policy advisory services, and China-Latin America exchanges. It serves the nation’s medium- and long-term development strategies, dedicates itself to academic research and social services, and strengthens exchanges and cooperation with relevant institutions in Latin American countries. The Center focuses on studying regional organizations and integration in Latin America, the politics, economy, culture, society, Sinology, and international relations of major countries, as well as the characteristics and development trends of China-Latin America relations. It also engages in the translation and dissemination of Chinese and Latin American classic works, building a high ground for academic research and a platform for exchanges. The Center strives to produce first-class research outcomes, provide top-tier social services, and establish itself as an "innovative, efficient, productive, and influential" first-class research center and university think tank, effectively fulfilling the role of higher education institutions in serving the central government and the broader national agenda.
