The Austrian Research Center, established in 2017, is a Ministry of Education-registered center for country and regional studies. Under the coordinated management of the Institute of Country and Regional Studies, it has developed a standardized management system. Actively responding to national development strategies and the spirit of the Belt and Road Initiative, the center has long been dedicated to systematic research on Austria's politics, economy, diplomacy, education, literature, culture, and other fields.

Currently, the center employs 6 full-time researchers and several part-time researchers. Leveraging its strengths in the German language and focusing on the core research direction of "Austria-China Relations," it has produced a series of research outcomes, including "Studies on Austria-China Relations," "Research on Austrian Education Policies," and the "Handbook of Austrian Education." Simultaneously, the center regularly organizes academic lectures on Austrian topics, has established connections with the Austrian Embassy in China, and has received professional literature donations, significantly enriching its specialized library collection. The researchers at the center also actively participate in academic conferences in the field of country and regional studies, stay updated on cutting-edge disciplinary developments, and establish extensive exchange mechanisms with relevant research institutions both domestically and internationally. Through in-depth dialogue and collaboration in research methodologies and theoretical innovation, the center continuously enhances its academic influence and promotes international development.
