The Language Resource High-Precision and Cutting-Edge Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) was established in May 2016. It is a research institution recognized by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and operates under the auspices of Beijing Language and Culture University.
The Center fully respects scientific principles and the wisdom of talents, leveraging the disciplinary resources and talent advantages of Beijing Language and University. Guided by the development strategies of the nation and the capital, it is based in Beijing, extends its influence across the country, and maintains a global perspective. By collaborating with domestic and international universities, research institutions, social organizations, and corporate entities, the Center innovates institutional mechanisms, gathers global talent, and stimulates innovation vitality. It serves as a comprehensive innovation platform integrating scientific research and innovation, discipline incubation, industrial services, talent aggregation and cultivation, as well as international exchange and cooperation.
The center focuses on developing three major projects: a language resource repository, a language and culture museum, and an intelligent "Language Connect" service. Its core research achievements include the "Global Chinese Interlanguage Corpus," the "Multilingual Communication Aid for Epidemic Prevention and Control," the "Winter Olympics Terminology Database System," and the "Digital Museum of Language and Culture." The center is dedicated to research in areas such as language resources, natural language processing, smart education for international Chinese language teaching, and language computing. Key research outcomes include the "Smart Teaching System for International Chinese Language Education" and the "BCC Corpus."
The center has long been running the "Language Resources and Smart Education Training Program" to promote the application of the "International Chinese Smart Teaching System" among teachers and students in the field of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, driving the development of Chinese language education through smart technology.
