The Talent Base for Developing Discourse of World Sinology and Chinese Studies was established in January 2025. The base has long been engaged in scientific research, talent cultivation, and international cooperation and exchange.
Through collaboration with internationally renowned academic institutions and research teams, the base promotes interdisciplinary and multi-field research, producing a number of internationally influential academic works and papers in the fields of Sinology and China studies. It also regularly hosts international academic conferences and seminars, establishing a platform for global academic exchange to facilitate communication and cooperation between Chinese and foreign scholars. This, in turn, promotes the internationalization and diversification of academic research, generating positive social impact.
The center leverages top-tier academic resources both domestically and internationally to provide students with high-quality education and training, helping them master the theories and methodologies of Sinology and China studies while enhancing their cross-cultural communication and research capabilities. Through the establishment of doctoral and master's programs, it aims to cultivate a group of high-level, interdisciplinary talents who can contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative and global governance. In particular, by engaging Sinologists from Latin America, the center seeks to nurture a cohort of Sinology experts well-versed in Latin American culture and society. These talents will serve as bridges for cultural exchange between China and Latin America, contributing to China's cultural dissemination and economic cooperation in Latin American countries, thereby further elevating China's role and influence in global governance.
The center enhances research on China's role and contributions in global governance, explores the feasibility of Chinese wisdom and solutions, provides support for China's decision-making in international affairs, and elevates China's image and influence in the international community. By engaging sinologists and adopting advanced international research methods and concepts, it promotes the diversification and innovation of academic research, facilitates scholarly exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign academics, and jointly advances interdisciplinary and cross-border research projects, further driving the internationalization of academic research.
