BLCU Holds Graduation Ceremony for Sino-French Joint Master’s Program and Launch of French Students’ Semester

On the morning of May 10, BLCU held the 2026 Graduation Ceremony of the Business Intelligence & Analytics joint master’s program, run in partnership with Clermont School of Business (ESC), and the Launch Ceremony of the Semester for exchange students from ESC at BLCU. Vice President Zhang Baojun and President Richard Soparnot of ESC attended the ceremony, along with representatives from relevant departments.

Vice President Zhang Baojun first welcomed President Richard Soparnot and his delegation and thanked the staff from both universities for their hard work. He stated that the graduation ceremony not only witnessed the graduation of the 74 jointly cultivated master’s students but also marked an important milestone in deepening Sino-French higher education cooperation between the two universities. He encouraged all graduates to stay true to their aspirations, fully leverage their cross-cultural communication advantages, serve as envoys of Sino-French friendship, and realize their personal value in the wave of the digital economy.

President Richard Soparnot extended his sincere congratulations to the 74 graduates and encouraged them to cherish the value of the international platform provided by their degrees and embrace the opportunities of globalization with their knowledge. He also encouraged all graduates to take the initiative to act as ambassadors for the image of both universities and the program brand, and to consciously carry forward the Sino-French friendship.

Graduate representative Wang Haoyang shared her learning experience. She noted that the program not only provided professional knowledge and practical skills but also shaped her mindset for using data to identify patterns and make rational decisions. She acknowledged that the journey of learning has been a valuable life asset and expressed her determination to embrace a new career path with gratitude.

French international student representative Julien Pavot also shared his thoughts. He spoke of the warmth and kindness he had felt in China and expressed that students from both countries have become a natural bridge connecting Chinese and French cultures and ideas. He wished all graduates a successful start to their new life journey.

The ceremony concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere with a group photo of all attending faculty, students, and guests. It not only witnessed the graduates setting off to pursue their dreams but also demonstrated the outstanding achievements of BLCU and ESC in jointly cultivating versatile talents. The collaboration has built a solid bridge for deepening Sino-French higher education cooperation and enhancing people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
